Save as / Save LEFT CLICK (Key:F2) Displays a fileselector where the following options are available: - Select drive: Allow you to change the current drive.or volume (depending on your operating system - Format: Allows you to choose the file format you want. (PAL and KCF file formats are "palette" files). - Filename: Allows you to give a new name to the picture. If no extension is given, the default (according to the format) will be used. - Bookmarks: The four dropdown buttons allow you to bookmark frequently used directories. Use right-click to open a contextual menu to Set it (memorize current directory), Rename it to change its label, and Clear it if you no longer need it. Use left-click to change to the memorized directory. The additional option "Set Rel" is available in Portable Installations to allow setting a bookmark relative to GrafX2 dir. - File-list: Allows you to flick through the disk tree or to overwrite an existing file. - Delete: Allows you to delete the item under the selection bar. If the item is a directory, it must be empty to be removed. - Save: Saves the picture with the current filename, with the chosen format. If the current filename represents a directory, you'll enter it. - Comment (Txt): If you're using the PKM or PNG format, you can type in a comment on your picture. It will be memorized in the image. Note: The Backspace key brings you directly to the parent directory. You can also type the first letters of a filename you are looking for, to access it faster. RIGHT CLICK (Key:Shift+F2) Save the current picture with its current filename, format and comment. If the file already exists, a confirmation box will appear.

THOMSON MO/TO FORMAT

4 screen modes are supported : - 40col : 320x200x16colors with constraints - 80col : 640x200x2colors - bm16 : 160x200x16colors without constraint - bm4 : 320x200x4colors without constraint All four modes are only available on MO6, TO8, TO9, TO9+. Theses machines support a palette of 4096 color. As this palette is non-linear, make sure to check the "MO6/TO8 palette gamma" setting. The TO7, TO7/70 and MO5 only support the 40col mode with 8 (TO7) or 16 (TO7/70 and MO5) colors. COMMODORE 64 FORMATS

GrafX2 supports saving of : - hi-res (320x200) 2 colors in each 8x8block - multicolor (160x200) 4 colors in each 4x8 block, with a common background color - FLI (Flexible Line Interpretation) based on multicolor with in each 4x1 block : 1 background color common to the line, 1 color common for the 4x8 block and 2 specific colors. PRG files can be executed on the C64 with : LOAD"FILE.PRG",8,1 RUN Only hi-res and multicolor are supported.

AMSTRAD CPC FORMATS

GrafX2 supports saving in various formats : - GraphOS (GO1/GO2/KIT) format only supports mode 0 192x272 16 CPC+ colors pictures - cpc (.SCR) saver detects mode from pixel ratio. "Autoloading" files are produced using iMPdraw v2 format for overscan or maintaining OCP compatibility for std res. - CM5 are specific 5 layer 288x256 pics for the "Mode 5 Viewer" software by SYX.
