Introduced in 1986, the TO8 replaces and upgrades the TO7/70. It integrates most of the improvements from the TO9, but now uses a single gate array with page mode access to the RAM, allowing a reduced chip count and simpler design. ====== Manuals ====== ====== ROMs ====== ====== Boot screen ====== ====== Specifications ====== ==== Frequencies ==== * 6809E CPU at 1MHz * 1 "page mode" gate array chip at 16MHz ==== Video ==== * 50Hz or 60Hz frame rate * 4096 colors * 16KiB video RAM * Video modes: * 320x200, 16 colors with constraints, * 320x200, 4 colors * 160x200, 16 colors * 640x200, 2 colors * RGB with composyte sync output. ==== Audio ==== * 1-bit beeper * 6-bit DAC * Audio track from tape connector * Output to audio pins of SCART port (mono) ==== Memories ==== * 256KiB RAM split into 16 pages of 16K each * 16KiB screen RAM (CPU has a fixed mapping to page 0, but the video logic can use pages 0 to 3) * 16KiB "user" RAM (fixed mapping to page 1) * All pages can be mapped to the "RAM page" area or the "cartridge space" area. * RAM expansion port on the back of the machine to add 16 more pages of RAM. * 80KiB ROM * 16KiB system and disk ROM * 32KiB for BASIC 128 and EXTRAMON * 32KiB for BASIC 1.0, boot screen, and icon DOS ==== Mass storage ==== * Floppy drive connector (controller built-in) * Cartridge port * Tape connector ==== Keyboard ==== * Reset button ==== Dimensions&weight ==== ==== Power supply ==== * 220V, AC. ====== Connectors ====== ===== Keyboard ===== ===== SCART video ===== ===== Floppy ===== ===== expansion port ===== ===== RAMDisk port =====
