>Introduction

MemoChip is a simple desktop memo tool, like PostIt. Each chip, uses a unique font, background color(of course, these features can use general settings), and can stick in each workspace(and can each chip follows workspace changed). Install the mini icon into Deskbar's status View(works equally well in MainPanel).

>Usage

mainpanel

• New Chip : Create new chip (open ChipPref panel).
• Preference : Open Preference panel.

memochip

RightButton-click on chip, show popup-menu described below :

• Edit : Open edit panel.
• Font : Open font-setting panel.
• Color : Open chip-color setting panel.
• Option : Open chip-option panel.
• Copy : Copy chip-data to clipboard.
• Tear Off : Tear off chip.

>Preference Panel

main option

Generic option described below :

• mainpanel follows workspace : mainpanel always follows workspace changed, if this flag is cheked.
• chip default follows workspace : default setting of 'New Chip' set true ( 'chip follows workspace' option), if this flag is checked.
• save mainpanel position : mainpanel position will be saved when MemoChip quitting, if this flag is checked.
• install in Deskbar : Install miniicon(work equally mainpanel) in Deskbar, and hide mainpanel, if this flag is checked.
• confirm before tear off : Confirm before tear off chip, if this flag is checked.
• enable double-click to edit : Open edit panel when double-click on chips, if this flag is checked.

default font

Default font setting for 'New Chip', kind(font_family) and size(font_size).

default color

Default color settings for 'New Chip'.

Edit chip memo.

font

font setting of the chip (see default_font).

color

color setting of the chip (see default_color).

chip option

chip specific option setting described below :

• chip name : Set chip name to identify each chip (show in Deskbar's MemoChip entry). Default name is 'chip'.
• chip follows workspace : The chip always follows workspace changed, if this flag is checked.

>How to uninstall

There're two steps :

1)delete all files in MemoChip folder
2)delete /boot/home/config/settings/wbAPPS/MemoChip.dat

>Update list

• 2000/10/15 : 1.2 >> 1.3
  Fix problem about 'chip default follows workspace' option.
  Add 'Copy' menu.
  And fix some small problems.
• 2000/01/05 : 1.1.2 >> 1.2
  Support workspace follows chip.
  Add 'enable double-click to edit' option.
  Add 'chip name' option.
• 1999/07/13 : 1.1.1 >> 1.1.2
  Fix problem that dummy window display screen center.
• 1999/04/19 : 1.1 >> 1.1.1
  Transparent background color(guarantee same background color Deskbar and MemoChip).
