Hi,
i've tried to run this version like others in dos with hx extender
I tried this and failed to run under HX due to missing function LookupIconIdFromDirectoryEx
H:\GRAFX2.25\BIN>grafx2.exe
dpmild32: import not found: LookupIconIdFromDirectoryEx
dpmild32: file USER32.dll
dpmild32: c:\dos\win32\SHELL32.DLL: cannot resolve imports

Hi, Impossible to change via HX dos side ..
Unfortunly Japheth (the manteiner ) it's "missing in action".. not reply to mails and the HX site it's closed :((

A source of hx extender can be found this : http://users.freebasic-portal.de/dos386/hx2d16.zi7
(rename zi7 to zip), but it's not the last one

do recent version have the same problem ?

LookupIconIdFromDirectoryEx() is only used under Win32 when built for SDL
now there is the Win32 GDI version available, if HX-DOS support it, it could work better

It would be nice to have some way to run GrafX2 under DOS, still. But indeed the issue is not a critical one.

I don't know how to reach "iw2evk" to ask him to test the win32 API version

It would be better to fix this on HX-DOS side.
