File Layer and Indexing Operation within File Layer

Description

For people who would like some sort of nondestructive workflow or using a base image that has more than 256 colors to be used for different games with different palette, I had a idea of file layer. In Grafx2, there should be some sort of way to set up a linked layer which is linked to a file, and grafx2 should automatically adjust the linked layer with the palette given in the program.

To clarify, let's use Krita as a base reference. Load Krita, add a file layer using a image. Assign Indexing Filter Mask. Note in Krita that you can change palett and change the look of the image with that palette assigned. All nondestructively. Krita has some limits within Indexing Filer as you cannot assign a 64 colors palette without going through slow workflow.

If one is able to do this in Grafx2, I would see a slight more adoption of this program as one is able to create a base image in a program they're more familiar with, and then use Grafx2 to preview indexed image, and continue working with another software, and use grafx2 as finalisation tool.

I have to admit I don't understand what is asked here...

Seems to be out of scope for GrafX2.

If I understand correctly, the idea is to have a true-color image and convert it to paletized in real-time (including when you change the palette, etc) so that you see how it looks with the current palette, and also allow real-time (?) update of the image while you edit it inside another editor.

Such features seems out of place in GrafX2, and I'm fine with people using Krita for such workflows. I would rather keep GrafX2 really focused on pixel-art editing, where you are supposed to control each and every pixel :)
