What is the IPP/LPR Transport Add-on?

The transport add-on is the transport layer of print services under BeOS. The IPP/LPR transport add-on realizes network printing by using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) or LPDP (Line Printer Daemon Protocol).

How to use

  1. Installation

    Copies ipp and lpr to the /boot/home/config/add-ons/Print/transport folder.

  2. Selecting the transport add-on

    Sets "connected to" for ipp (or lpr) when configuring a local printer.

  3. Configuring the transport add-on

    The transport add-on shows configuration dialog immediately after the the first print job is issued. You must do a proper setup corresponding to the selected transport add-on.
