What is the IPP/LPR Transport Add-on?
The transport add-on is the transport layer of print services under BeOS.
The IPP/LPR transport add-on realizes network printing by using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) or LPDP (Line Printer Daemon Protocol).

How to use

Installation
Copies ipp and lpr to the /boot/home/config/add-ons/Print/transport folder.

Selecting the transport add-on
Sets "connected to" for ipp (or lpr) when configuring a local printer.

Configuring the transport add-on
The transport add-on shows configuration dialog immediately after the the first print job is issued.
You must do a proper setup corresponding to the selected transport add-on.
- In case of IPP:
Input a printer URL as follows, and push OK. For example:
- In case of the IIS
http://[print server name or IP address]/printers/[printer share name]/.printer
- In case of the Canon devices:
http://[printer name or IP address]/printer
- In case of the HP devices:
http://[printer name or IP address]/ipp
- In case of LPR:
Input a server name and a queue (printer) name, and push OK.
