Description

Allow sharing files (and pictures) using HTTP upload.

  • Check the size of files is under the limit given by the server
  • Request a slot on the server
  • Upload the file using http
  • Share the "get" URL in chat (or also for avatars?)

UX ideas:

  • Explicit "attach file" menu or toolbar item or button
  • Allow to drag and drop files onto a chat window
  • Allow to simply copypaste bitmap data (eg. bitmap clips from ShowImage) and possibly other mime types?
